There are a couple of reasons for this.
One reason is that I'm doing WriYe in 2012. It's like National Novel Writing Month, but you set your own goal 50k or higher, and it lasts all year. It also isn't just for novels, but that's what I'm doing. Since I don't post my writing to dA, I'm more active elsewhere.
The other reason is that I have a backlog of things to do. I have a bunch of clothing that I've made over the last few years that I want to submit to the Artisan Crafts gallery, and I just don't have photographs of it. I also just got married and moved 500 miles at the end of 2011, and some of my pieces (and current projects) were left at my parents' house for the time being. I was supposed to pick them up over Christmas, but my husband's command made it impossible for us to travel. I'll likely get them in the next six months. (But for Artisan Crafts pictures, my husband will need to photograph me, and he's currently deployed, so the pictures won't happen until the summertime.)
I'm also trying to learn to knit and crochet, and I have a backlog of planned projects for writing, artisan crafts, and visual art.
I plan to write a series of stories based on the tarot, at least the major arcana, one based on the Elder Futhark runes, and one based on Polti's Dramatic Situations.
Once I figure out knitting a bit, I have plans for scarves and fingerless gloves (and possibly matching crocheted snoods) because I tend to like to wear my hair up and have my hands warm in the house. I also have a dress to finish sewing and embroidering for a specific date and a set of shirts to sew when I get the pre-cut fabric from my family. I'm never averse to the idea of making a few more skirts, though. I guess you could say that I've given up on regular clothing stores for things that actually fit and are made of non-stretch cotton or cotton blends.
My planned visual art projects include another tarot deck and possibly a revamp of the one I have. As I recall, it took me six weeks to make, so that will have to wait.
